Students will practice reading, writing, speaking and listening, using English. They will be challenged to use English in a practical and more active way while reviewing the basic structures, tenses and sounds of English. The style of instruction used in class will help students begin to learn how to correct their own English. In addition to class work, students can expect to work approximately one hour on homework every week.

The class will meet once a week. The first two or three classes will be used to help students start using natural English pronunciation and intonation. Following this, students will begin to explore the tense system of English. They will use their own experiences to learn how time relates to tense in English. Then, they will use that knowledge to make questions and respond to other students' statements. Throughout this time students will constantly check their understanding of the basic structures of English. Finally, students will work on the timing of questions and responses to other students' statements and questions.
