成績評価法
++ The Responsibility of Students

1. You will need to do one hour of work at least each week for this subject.
2. This is a Medical English reading and conversation course. Therefore, all students are expected to actively converse using as much English as possible in class.
3. Every student is expected to study the chapters from the textbook before each class as requested by the professor.
4. Progressive learning in this course is important; weekly completion of all assignment and preparations is expected.
5. An emphasis will be placed on assessing student learning with regular short written tests, assignments and role play. Students are expected to study every week.
6. Students are expected to attend all classes. Absence of five or more classes without adequate reason will result in an automatic Fail Grade D.
7. If you fail this course, the decision to give one compensatory examination rests with the professor teaching the course. It is not automatic that a compensatory examination will be given.

Students will be assessed by:

3 quizzes (10% each): 30%
2 Role play tests (30% each): 60%
1 Review Assignment: 10%

Explanation of Assessment:
Online quizzes x 3 (10% each - Total 30%) will be arranged within various weeks as per class schedule; and related to the textbook.

Role Play Test 1 and 2 (30% each - Total 60%)
Students will have conversation in pairs using scenarios from the text book.
They will be expected to complete certain goals without a script.

Review Assignment (10%)
Designed to assess students' overall understanding and mastery of the subject.
