授業の目的と概要

レベル3のコースです。 TOEIC L&R のベストスコアが 700 未満の場合は、このコースを受講しないでください。このコースは、外国で行われる通常の内容のコースと難易度は似ています。

このコースでは、コミュニケーションスキルを向上させる手段として、教師と学生の両方によるディスカッションを通じて空を探索します。空をベースに多文化理解を深め、多文化コミュニケーション能力を養うコースです。

授業の到達目標


自分たちの環境で見られるものの名前など、自然環境等について学びます。生徒たちは、それが何であるかを理解し、英語でそれについて議論できるようになります。

授業計画

【全体】

毎週、夜空の星と惑星、そしてそれらがさまざまな文化に与える影響について話し合います。
ある夜、天気がよければ夜に集まり、望遠鏡を使って空に見える星、星座、惑星、その他の物体を特定します。
シラバスに沿って実施しますが、気象条件により観測の機会が生じた場合、1 週間またはそれ以上の期間が変更される可能性があります。

What is a star? How did different cultures view them?
Stars and culture

Memorize a list of the brightest stars in order or brightness and how to find them.
Prepare a cultural presentation of a star.

Planets
Dwarf planets

The planets and dwarf planets of our solar system

Memorize the list of planets and dwarf planets. Learn to identify them by photos.

Midterm Exam
Telescopes

Midterm exam
How to use a basic computer controlled telescope and other simple skywatching instruments.

Report on interesting space object

Moons, satellites, comets, asteroids, meteors.

Differences between various objects commonly found in space.

Artificial satellites
Measurements of the size of the solar system / galaxy / universe

Discussion on historical satellites, light speed and space measurements

Prepare to present about a deep space object in detail.

Discussion on dangers to Earth and astronauts who go there

Identify constellations, planets, write about a culture of interest's understanding of the sky.
