授業の目的と概要
自分のこと，自分が関わることを，発信用途を峻別して英語で書く訓練をする。例えば，e-mail,　手紙， レポート等を英語で書く。それらを受信した場合の返信の英語の書き方にも及ぶ。可能な限り，グループ活動を利用する。こうしたことに付随しながら，和英辞典，英英辞典，類語辞典(thesaurus)の正しく，有効な使い方を学ぶ。
授業の到達目標
学生はさまざまな重要なトピックに関する英語の語彙を習得する。学生は幅広いトピックについて段落やエッセイを書く能力を身につける。
