授業の目的と概要
(1) Understand and be able to practice key considerations in utilizing data and AI.
 Explains information security, ethics, and regulations.
(2) Deepen understanding of data science based on the content of Data Science and Society I.
 Explains technologies and the latest trends for utilizing data and AI. Also introduces practical examples of data science applications in business and research.
授業の到達目標
To prepare for the advent of the “ultra-smart society,” students will gain an understanding of the fundamentals of data science that underpins it, while also acquiring the basic knowledge and skills necessary to proactively select information and information tools, and to utilize them correctly and safely.
授業計画
【全体】
This course explains essential considerations for utilizing data and AI (information security, ethics, and regulations). It also covers the technologies and latest trends for data and AI utilization, building upon the content of Data Science and Society I.
Classes will primarily be conducted in a lecture format (including watching videos).

第4回 Data and AI Utilization: Regulations and Ethics (2) This section explains key considerations for utilizing data and AI, focusing primarily on legal regulations. Students are required to complete preparatory and review work for the content covered in class (estimated study time: 4 hours).
第5回 Technologies and Latest Trends for Data and AI Utilization This section explains the technologies used in data science and AI applications.Explaining the latest trends in data and AI utilization. Students are required to complete preparatory and review work for the content covered in class (estimated study time: 4 hours).
第6回 The Front Lines of Data and AI Utilization in Industrial Sectors External lecturers affiliated with companies and other organizations explain examples of data and AI utilization in their professional work. Students are required to complete preparatory and review work for the content covered in class (estimated study time: 4 hours).
第7回 The Front Lines of Data Utilization in Academic Fields Faculty members responsible for the students' respective academic departments and fields of study will explain examples of data utilization in research. Students are required to complete preparatory and review work for the content covered in class (estimated study time: 4 hours).
第8回 Data Science Learning Through Video Viewing and Final Report Watch videos related to data science, understand their content, and apply that knowledge to your future actions. Students are required to complete preparatory and review work for the content covered in class (estimated study time: 4 hours).

成績評価法
Grades will be based on reports assigned for each class (40%) and a final report (60%).

Students who miss two or more classes without a valid reason will not receive a grade. Absences should be limited to one instance only when absolutely unavoidable. The final report is mandatory.
