授業の目的と概要
This course will provide general knowledge about intellectual property management required by companies and research institutions, and will also include introductory level exercises such as contract negotiations.
授業の到達目標
Students will acquire a wide range of knowledge about intellectual property and develop the ability to consider social issues related to intellectual property.
授業計画
【全体】
By integrating the learning outcomes of each intellectual property law course thus far, students will be able to carry out intellectual property management independently through practice in contract negotiations and contract practices.

第1回 Introduction to intellectual property management for companies and research institutes This presentation will provide an overview of the practical work carried out in the intellectual property sections of companies and research institutions. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
第2回 Overview of research-related contracts, starting with confidentiality agreements This section provides an overview of intellectual property contracts in general. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
第3回 The legal meaning of employee inventions and their practical treatment Explain the legal meaning of inventions made during employment. Explain management of inventions made during employment, including regulations on inventions made during employment. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
第4回 Transfer of patent rights and license agreements Explain assignment of rights agreements and license agreements. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
第5回 Research-related Contract Negotiations and Contract Practice Exercise 1 This course will provide practical exercises in negotiation and contractual practices for research-related contracts. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
第6回 Research-related Contract Negotiations and Contract Practice Exercise 2 This course will provide practical exercises in negotiation and contractual practices for research-related contracts. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
第7回 Copyright-based content rights management and contracts Explain content rights management and contracts. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
第8回 Content rights contract exercise Manage content rights and conduct contract exercises. Participants will spend one hour on preparation study and one hour on review, referring to the distributed lecture materials.
