25 years have passed since we entered into the 21st century. Even before the spread of COVID-19, the world situation has become increasingly complex, with Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Israel's attack on the Gaza Strip, global warming and environmental deterioration, and the rise of emerging countries, while increasing poverty and inequality in each country. And so on, when we step out of Japan, a completely different world unfolds. Government agencies in various countries are working hard every day. To correctly understand the world situation that directly affects our lives, even if they seem to be living peacefully in Japan. It is very important in the future to deepen its knowledge of the international organizations, and regional communities. In this lecture, I would like to learn together with the students about issues and problems that occur in the world every day, and explore solutions while interacting with international students. Although English will be primarily used in this class, I will make sure that even students who think they are not good at English can actively participate, so I hope that this will be an opportunity for them to test their practical English skills. This lecture will be given by a faculty member who has worked at JICA based on his practical experience.
