In the first half of this lecture, basic concepts of polymers, history, properties, and molecular weight will be provided, and students will learn basic knowledge of polymer synthesis. In addition, sequential reactions and chain polymerization of polymer synthesis are studied.
In the latter half of the course, students will learn about living polymerization methods and characteristics, stereochemistry of polymers, polymers showing special structures, and polymer reactions.
In addition, the importance of basic knowledge in the field of organic chemistry and polymer chemistry will be explained by drawing on practical experience in companies and research laboratories. (Department of Applied Chemistry DP2, 3)
