授業の目的と概要
This course focuses on the process of environmental sustainability, which is maintained by the relation between environment and the community of life on earth. Furthermore, we discuss the decline of environmental sustainability caused by much consumption of fossil fuels as energy resources, and we suggest the method of sustainable acquisition of energy and the protection of global environment elucidating the issues.
授業の到達目標
To understand the mechanism of the ecosystem, and to explain about the relation among organisms and the mutual action between global environment and life. In addition, we must be able to discuss and suggest solution for issues of global environment and energy resources focusing on the views of ecosystem based on the circulation of energy and other matter.
授業計画
【全体】
This course is composed of lectures and experiments. We’ll learn about the mechanism of the ecosystem based on a food chain. Then, we’ll investigate the distribution of animals and plants in the campus. After that, we’ll plan to make “The small earth” (The closed environment which can circulate necessary substances like ecosystem) by a plastic bottle and realize it.
