授業の目的と概要
This course will present an outline of all kinds of contemporary Japanese thought from Shinto, Buddhism, Bushido, the Kyoto School to the contemporary thought including New Academism or even Haruki Murakami's literature. At the same time, this course will analyse what kind of events in contemporary Japan are related to those thoughts. Finally, actuality of contemporary Japanese thought in the global society will be examined by applying the analysis of Japan.
授業の到達目標
A variety of issues are arising in local and international societies, at various scales and regions. In order to be proactively involved in these social issues, students are required to have a wide range of knowledge in science, technology, culture, and society, and the practical ability to comprehensively utilize this knowledge, collaborate with people from diverse cultural and ideological backgrounds, and lead to setting and solving appropriate issues. The purpose of this course is to acquire basic knowledge and styles related to ideology, culture, politics, and economics, as well as to foster spontaneous questioning and thinking about various issues that concern people and society, and to foster a practical foundation for actively participating in problem solving.
