A variety of issues are arising in local and international societies, at various scales and regions. In order to be proactively involved in these social issues, students are required to have a wide range of knowledge in science, technology, culture, and society, and the practical ability to comprehensively utilize this knowledge, collaborate with people from diverse cultural and ideological backgrounds, and lead to setting and solving appropriate issues. The purpose of this course is to acquire basic knowledge and styles related to ideology, culture, politics, and economics, as well as to foster spontaneous questioning and thinking about various issues that concern people and society, and to foster a practical foundation for actively participating in problem solving.
