授業の目的と概要
This course explores the topic of climate change and global　warming. We will begin by exploring how the Earth's global
mean surface temperature is determined through a global　"balancing act" of the energy that comes from the Sun and the
rate at which the planet returns that energy into space. We will　also discuss the natural greenhouse effect and how this　contributes to a balanced global climate. We will then consider the human impact on the atmosphere, including the impact of industrialization, other sources of greenhouse gases connected to　humans, and the numerous and varied means of measuring climate change
授業の到達目標
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

１．Understand the fundamental mechanisms of climate change and global warming within the Earth’s climate system.

２．Explain the interactions among the atmosphere, ocean, and land surface that influence climate variability.

３．Analyze the causes and impacts of climate change using scientific and environmental data.

４．Evaluate the effects of climate change on natural and human systems, including coastal and marine environments.

５．Apply climate change knowledge to environmental monitoring and sustainable management practices.
