授業の目的と概要
There are always strong links between measures for soil conservation and measures for water conservation, and this applies equally in semi-arid areas. Many measures are directed primarily to one or the other, but most contain an element of both. Reduction of surface run-off by structures or land management changes will also help reduce erosion. Similarly, reducing erosion will usually involve preventing splash erosion, formation of crusts, or breakdown of structure, all of which will increase infiltration and help water conservation.
授業の到達目標
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1.Understand the fundamental concepts and methodologies of environmental modeling and
simulation.

2.Explain the mathematical and physical principles underlying environmental and the models

3.Apply numerical modeling techniques to simulate environmental and climate-related processes

4.Analyze and interpret simulation results for evaluating environmental variability and system
responses.

5.Utilize modeling approaches to support environmental monitoring, prediction, and decision-
making processes.
