This course covers the overall "macro" plant morphology, a topic often overlooked in modern biology. We will begin by learning about the characteristics of plant cells, which form the fundamental units of plant tissues. Building on this foundation, we will explore the structure and function of key plant organs, including roots, stems, leaves, flowers, fruits, and seeds. For some of these organs, we will also touch on their molecular basis and evolutionary aspects. The lecturer will use diagrams, photographs, and occasionally real plant specimens to illustrate concepts clearly, providing concrete examples to enhance understanding. This course primarily focuses on angiosperms (flowering plants).
