Understanding of plant-atmosphere interaction processes is necessary for solving environmental and food problems. Therefore this lecture covers measurement, compilation, and comunication of meteorological information, climatic variation and weather derivative, measurement of plant biological information (spectral reflectance, remote sensing), geographic information systems (GIS), environment control for plant growth, and hydroponics.

1. To Understand basic phenomena, principles, and concepts related to the meteorological environment and plants. 2. To consider the latest research and development trends in the fields of biological environment and meteorology to address environmental and food issues. 3. To show interest in the latest meteorological and environmental measurement technologies, plant monitoring technologies, and environmental control technologies in crop production.
