授業の目的と概要
Please note that the lecture will be conducted in Japanese.
For doctoral students enrolled in the doctoral program, lectures are provided by instructors both within and outside the university on the mindset for research, research methodologies, know-how for securing research funding and writing theses, and potential career paths after graduation.
The roles of doctoral program graduates extend beyond researchers to include entrepreneurship, research support, and other diverse fields. This course aims to provide accurate knowledge about these paths and help students understand their own characteristics to inform career choices.
Please note that the lecture order (schedule) may change due to lecturer availability. Pay close attention to emails from the Academic Support System.
For lectures where the lecturer has given permission, recordings will be posted on Moodle. Students may watch these recordings, write a report, and submit it.

授業計画
【全体】
Lecturers from both within and outside the university will deliver useful lectures on the significance of doctoral programs, approaches to research direction, methods for communicating with society, societal applications, and identifying personal strengths. As this is an online course, all communication regarding URLs, report submissions, etc., will be conducted via Moodle.
※All lectures will be conducted in Japanese. However, reports and attendance sheets may be submitted in English.
※As this is an online course, please ensure you are thoroughly familiar with the relevant online applications beforehand. Zoom will be primarily used, though some instructors may use Google Meet or Teams. Details will be posted on the Academic Support System, so please check carefully.

第6回 Connecting the dots Identity, morality, crime, sexual behavior, nuclear evacuation, risk, good-looking, new coronas, spousal choice, self-domestication - I have chosen my research topics according to my interests at the time and what others have asked of me.With such a research approach, I have shaken off the constraints of preconceived notions and disciplines, and have refreshed myself.I hope that reflecting on this process will be of some help. We will introduce initiatives aimed at solving societal challenges and fostering innovation, discussing the role of PhDs through the speaker's own experiences. In this lecture, I will introduce the experiences, lessons learned, difficulties, and fun that the lecturer has had in starting a university-launched venture. The lecture will also provide basic knowledge on the structure of a company and its funding, making university-launched ventures more familiar to the audience. 第16回 URA as a Career Path Option for Doctoral Talent One career path option for doctoral-level professionals is the role of URA (University Research Administrator), who manages research and development within universities and research institutions. This article introduces the career path, job responsibilities, and required skills for URAs, a third professional category that has been gaining traction in Japan in recent years.
