授業の目的と概要
This class is open to students who are already enrolled in Dissertation Supervision which focuses on basic academic writing. In addition to academic literature, utilizing interviews and questionnaires for data collection is also important to establish original research in Social Sciences. By using these statistical data, students will complete a dissertation in Japanese and/ or English.

この授業は基礎的な論文指導の既学者を対象としている。学術文献に加え、データ収集のためインタビューやアンケートを行うことは社会科学分野で独自性のある研究を打ち出すために重要である。これらの統計データを用いることにより、日本語と／または英語の学術論文を完成させる。
授業の到達目標
To cultivate “independent research skills,” especially to acquire the skills and abilities necessary to write conference reports and peer-reviewed papers.
授業計画
【全体】
In this class, students will learn to collect raw data for effective research. Before starting, a “Feasibility Study” is recommended because administering large questionnaires or surveys costs a lot. It is hard to re-survey if an error is made. To avoid errors, during the large-scale questionnaire survey, small scaled trials are important. This schedule is up to COVID-19.

この授業では効果的な研究を行うために生データを集める作業を学ぶ。大規模な調査は多大なコストを生じるため、実施前に予備調査を行うことを勧める。もし調査にエラーが生じた場合、再調査は難しい。大規模調査中のエラーを避けるために、小規模な予備調査は重要である。なお、新型コロナウイルスの状況によってはスケジュール変更もあり得る。
