This lecture will review the pathogenesis of gastrointestinal diseases and their drug treatment. Inflammation in the digestive organs such as the liver, pancreas, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine is caused by various factors, which not only reduces quality of life (QOL) but also leads to more serious diseases such as cancer. In this lecture, we will discuss the homeostasis of these tissues, the mechanism of inflammation, the mechanism of inflammation leading to cancer, and the changes in the body, as well as therapeutic agents for inflammation and cancer.
