授業の目的と概要
Animal nutrition and metabolism are not only related to the productivity of livestock, but is also important for maintaining the life and health of laboratory, companion, and wild animals. In this lecture, we will discuss the properties of each nutrient material, the mechanisms of feeding, digestion, and absorption in animals, and the effects of nutrients on animals. Differences among animal species will be discussed as well.
授業の到達目標
To understand basic concepts of animal nutrient metabolism at various scales from the individual to the molecular level.
To be able to apply the principles of nutrient metabolism to the interpretation of your own and others' research data.
To have an interest in understanding nutrient metabolism and a willingness to apply the knowledge to their own research.
To be able to think independently about how to proceed with your own research and attempt to apply knowledge from other fields, including this course.
To be able to communicate your own thinking in an appropriate way so that others can easily understand it.
To develop an attitude of relating knowledge to your own research when absorbing knowledge.
