授業の目的と概要
This class will teach basic and applied research on the diagnosis and treatment of neoplastic diseases in small animals. Dealing with neoplastic diseases in the veterinary field is an important issue. The purpose of this lecture is to understand the latest diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for neoplastic diseases in small animals, and lectures on the latest diagnostic imaging techniques in veterinary oncology and multidisciplinary treatment methods such as surgery and radiation.
授業の到達目標
Understand the latest diagnostic and treatment techniques for tumor diseases in small animals, especially radiation therapy planning methods.
Be interested in surgical and radiation therapy for tumor diseases in small animals, and make an effort to acquire the latest knowledge.
Be able to actively participate in classes and exercises.
授業計画
【全体】
In this class, we will explain general and basic knowledge, the advanced diagnostic imaging techniques, and basic surgical techniques required in surgical oncology in small animal practice. Next, we will give a lecture on treatment strategies for neoplastic diseases at various sites. In addition, we will give a lecture on the advanced radiation therapy using a linear accelerator. Lectures will be given on the structure and characteristics of the equipment used, and treatment strategies for head and neck and intra-abdominal tumors.

Evaluation will be based on reports and a written test at the end of the term.
Report: 40%, written test at the end of the term: 60%
