授業の目的と概要

Students study about the infections and pathogenic mechanism of viruses, diagnoses, Virus–host interactions, and treatments and prophylaxis for viral pathogens that cause infectious disease. They also learn about emerging/re-emerging viral diseases and zoonosis.

授業の到達目標

To understand the property of viruses, virus-host interaction, pathogenesis of viruses and emerging/re-emerging viral diseases.
To be able to think logically and understand how to apply the results of basic science in the fields of the infectious diseases.
To have an interest in understanding infectious disease and a willingness to apply the knowledge to your own research.
To generate discussions and to contribute one's own opinion.
