授業の目的と概要
Surgical methods are considered to be one of the most effective treatments for neoplastic diseases in the small animal field. However, on the other hand, it is not uncommon for surgery to be applicable depending on the site of occurrence and degree of progression of neoplastic disease. Radiation therapy plays a major role in the treatment of such cases. The latest radiation therapy using a linear accelerator uses a treatment plan using IMRT in order to achieve a better dose distribution. This exercise will teach you what to consider regarding the basic techniques of tumor surgery and their applications. In addition, practice how to formulate a treatment plan for higher-order radiation. The purpose of this exercise is to train experts in surgical and radiotherapy for neoplastic diseases in small animals.

Understand the latest diagnostic and treatment techniques for tumor diseases in small animals, especially radiation therapy planning methods.
Be interested in surgical and radiation therapy for tumor diseases in small animals, and make an effort to acquire the latest knowledge.
Be able to actively participate in classes and exercises.

Explains and practices treatment strategies for neoplastic diseases in the veterinary field, the latest diagnostic imaging techniques such as MRI and CT, basics and applications of surgical techniques, and planning and practice of radiotherapy.

Evaluation will be based on reports and a written test at the end of the term.
Report: 40%, written test at the end of the term: 60%
