There is the problem that “What is an excellent leadership?” before business administration is approved. The research and analysis about it have been performed in various fields of philosophy, ethics, history, religion, politics, and military affairs, etc., In this lecture, the leadership is defined as “the abilities to set targets of the group and draw the group member's cooperation and contribution to aim at the effective achievement”. Business administration theories about the leadership are roughly classified into four theories; 1. Trait theory, 2. Behavioral theory, 3. Contingency theory, 4. Transformational leadership. Various roles that setting and solution of problem,evaluation and encouragement of subordinates, and activation of organization etc. are demanded from the leader. However, the demanded roles will change according to the age and the situation. We don’t adopt the one theory, but set a goal for students learning management of technology to acquire useful contents on businesses with various aspects through the lecture.
